François Bailly Maitre

Jura born and bred

François Bailly-Maître is undoubtedly the most passionate promoter of the Jura massif. Every other sentence he utters is full of praise for the merits of 'his' mountains.
Born in Longchaumois (if you don't recognize the name, check out our postal address), he first shone in cross-country mountain biking with a preference for long races. After winning the Transvésubienne 3 times (a demanding 85 km race with 4,800 m of height loss in the backcountry of Nice, which the best in the business take 6 hours to complete) he gradually gave up cross-country in favor of enduro mountain biking.
He's been competing in the Enduro World Series (EWS) since it was first created in 2013. Ranked eighth in the world in 2015 and 2016, he achieves consistently good results. Although he doesn't want to be labeled a "physical" rider, François performs best in long multi-day events, such as the TransProvence or Andes-Pacifico.

Mount Elbert

Between two competitions, François rode with Jérôme Clementz and Pauline Dieffenthaler to the summit of Mont Elbert in Colorado. Read about the adventure of the awesome threesome.

Enduro Jura by Julbo

François has been helping to organize an enduro event in his own backyard since 2015. Together with his team, they've created an all-inclusive weekend where riders are pampered to the max and able to enjoy the finest lines in the Haut-Jura.
