Insatiable Martin Fourcade

Martin Fourcade just finished (another) great season. Let's see why it was such an unique winter.

Insatiable Martin Fourcade

The man to whom all the superlatives apply.

At Pyeonchang, after a podium for the sprint, Martin Fourcade collected his big Crystal Globe - the ultimate reward for the world's best biathlete. Not only has he won this big Globe six races before the end-of-season, but it is his 6th Globe in a row. Exceptional.

Yes, Martin Fourcade certainly stands out from the crowd at the top of his sport! A week after Southern Korea, the star from the Pyrenees beat Ole E Bjoerndalen's record with his 13th individual victory of the season in Kontiolahti (Finland).Splendid.

His 2016-2017 season has been stunning. After a healthy start in Ostersund where he notched up two victories and a podium in 3 races, he continued to collect medals with a full set in Pokljuka, where he had never won before, and a "hat trick" in Nove Mesto with 3 wins in 3 races. At Ruhpolding, he had his 10th win of the season, moving closer to the Norwegian record (12 wins in one season). With victories in Hochfilzen, Pyeonchang and Kontiolahti under his belt, he raised the bar to 13 individual wins in one season. Unbeatable.

Always showing us his best but never his worst, the Catalan equals Magdalena’s Forsberg record of 14 individual victories in a season as he managed to win the very last race of the season in Oslo. But before he tooks two silver medal on the sprint and the pursuit.Insatiable.

If all that wasn’t enough, Martin sweeps the 5 Crystal that one can win and that the third time he does it (2013, 2015, 2017).Perfectionnist.

At Julbo we want to give Martin the warmest round of applaud. He keeps the dream alive after each and every victories. We are very proud to have him on our side for 6 years now. We are also thrilled that we beneficiate from his field expertise to create a pro-model.

"After the Sotchi Olympic Games, Aero MF with Julbo was the next challenge. We spent a lot of time developing and testing this product to make it as efficient as possiblourcade e." explained Martin F
"I'm proud of this product especially since it is in my colours - I think Julbo would say the same. Currently, in sport as in industry, perfection does not exist and the best is yet to come. " he continued.
