JULBO becomes the official outfitter for SNOWBOARD GERMANY
Germany’s top snowboarders will wear Julbo helmets and goggles for the 2015/16 season
With the start of the coming winter 2015/16 competition season the French sports goggles and helmet experts Julbo becomes the official outfitter for the German snowboard elite. The athletes in the A to C national squads for the Race and Snowboard Cross (SBX) disciplines have the opportunity to use these hi-tech and functional products for an even better performance. Through the new partnership Julbo would like to further promote its international reputation in top-class German winter sports and continues to heighten the visibility of the brand.
We are proud as we very much look forward to equipping the German snowboarders from the Race and Snowboard Cross disciplines from this season, and we are convinced that we can meet the high expectations top German athletes have of their equipment”, says Lucie Lacroix, Julbo’s Sports Marketing Manager, on the new cooperation with Snowboard Germany, the German Snowboard Association.
The inclusion of internationally successful and recognised athletes in the product development processes is a tradition at Julbo and has enabled the brand to become one of the leading suppliers in the field of Sports Eyewear. The company has developed an extensive range of goggles and helmets to the most exacting requirements and, besides sports sunglasses for the most diverse activities, is also providing sunglasses for the Lifestyle sector as well as sunglasses with corrective lenses (RX Trem) with its Travel product line. Julbo stands out because of the company culture originating in the Jura Mountains, characterised by close contact between athletes and staff, a spirit of innovation and the permanent search for perfection... for 127 years.
Stefan Knirsch, CEO and Sports Director of Snowboard Germany, on the cooperation with Julbo: “We are delighted to have found with Julbo a sponsor that perfectly blends style and functionality, and thus fits in with us particularly well. Our athletes are enthusiastic about it.” And they trust the products: “I chose Julbo because I am confident about the quality of the goggles. In our discipline the relationship between light and shade often changes very rapidly, which makes the selection of suitable lenses more difficult. However, the Zebra Light Lens from Julbo quickly adjusts to the conditions, making a decision superfluous,” says Selina Jörg, who twice stood on the podium in World Race Cup competitions last season.
It cannot be long now till the German snowboarders are seen live with Julbo. The Snowboard Cross World Cup begins on 11 – 13.12.2015 in Montafon, Austria. The Racers start the World Cup season on 12.12.2015 in Carezza (ITA). And both disciplines are also stopping off in Germany. From 22 to 24.01.2016 the SBX World Cup is making a guest appearance on the Feldberg and the World Race Cup is being held in Winterberg on 06.03.2016.
