Volvo Ocean Race: Real progress for Dongfeng Race Team!

Charles Caudrelier: “It’s been tough. All teams have the same boat, therefore we race at the same speed. We have rarely seen fights like that in the last editions. Every nautic mile is a fight. I’m very proud of my crew. Our Chinese sailors have achieved wonderful things. People should figure out: six months ago none of these guys ever sailed offshore. Today, they take part to one of the most difficult race in the world and have achieved a 26 days long stage! It’s exceptional. And the others sailors, for their part, have a big experience. They are able to push the boat forward very fast, especially when we are in contact with our opponents.”

Today, the seven boats in the Volvo Ocean Race are sailing to Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates), for a long stage of 6125 nautic miles. But the sailors had free time before to discover Cape Town. You too, explore the city with the Julbo’s eye of Eric Péron
