The great performance of the Julbo team during the Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc (UTMB)
Last week, August 22nd to 28th, the Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc (UTMB) took place and trail runners from all around the world came to participate in one of its five races. Many of our athletes and even a few of Julbo's employees participated to the unique experience. Each participant did their best to cross the finish line after running through valleys and hiking summits.
Many of our athletes had impressive results, our female athletes took the entire podium for the UTMB, and we had at least one athlete on the podium in each of the other sub races.
Xavier Thévenard became the first athletes to win four of the five UTMB races. After winning the CCC in 2010, the TDS in 2014, the UTMB in 2013 and 2015, he was the first runner to cross the finish line for the OCC (33 miles race) this summer, making history yet again!

For the CCC, it was Michel Lanne who won the 63 mile race and Yeray Duran Lopez finished second at the TDS (73 mile race).

On the Woman’s side, it was a real success, Caroline Chaverot was the first woman to cross the UTMB finish line followed closely by Andrea Huser. Uxue Fraile Azpeita and Magdalena Boulet, finishing respectively third and fifth.

Our Julbo employees did really well too as four out of five employees were able to push their mental and physical strengths in order to finish their races.
