Madeira Island Ultra-Trail : great results for Julbo's athletes
Julbo’s athletes took 4 of the 6 places on the podium on Madeira Island Ultra-Trail race, 5th stage of the Ultra-Trail World-Tour in Portugal.
Madeira Island Ultra Trail provided an exciting challenge, across the island, from sea-to-sea, in the Northwest-Southeast direction, starting in Porto Moniz, at sea level, with passages by the highest points of the island.
640 runners was on the starting line in Madeira for 115k and 7000 meters of elevation.
On the men race, Sebastien Camus climb on the 3rd step of the podium.
“Very hard race. Before crossing the finish line I couldn’t believe I was on the podium because a lot of thing can happen in the last kilometers. I dreamt about this result, I did it, I’m very happy!!”
Caroline Chaverot competed amazingly in Portugal : she won the women race and finished 8th overall only 40 minutes from the men podium! The Julbo’s athletes Andrea Hurser and Emilie Lecomte finshed 2nd and 3rd. Caroline is in a really good shape after her win in Transgrancanaria in march, 2nd win on UTWT for her!
