The Line : freetouring spirit through 10 stages from Briançon to chamonix
Relive each stage of The Line register on the website for an invitation to our supervised freetouring days this winter.
To cross the Alps, you have to discover and accept the realities of the terrain. The Line is a new route that takes on the challenges offered by valleys, passes and peaks. The Line connects Briançon to Chamonix through 10 ski touring stages with a total height gain of close to 16,000 metres. From the Ecrins to Mont Blanc, Julbo invites you to relive each of this year's 10 stages and take part in our supervised freetouring days. The Line is this freetouring spirit brought to life: 10 stages through the Alps, from Briançon to Chamonix, with a height gain of more than 16,000m.
Lightness means liberty! In terms of gear (wide skis, safer bindings and special boots), everything has been adapted to this new sport except... ski goggles. The Line has also been a one-of-a-kind test-bed for our new Aerospace goggle, which passed with flying colors and is just as happy going up as down thanks to its ingenious SuperFlow System.
From the Ecrins to Mount Blanc, relive with Julbo the amazing trip The Line through 3 dream-days of freetouring with Cedric Pugin, architect of the story.
"What’s great about this route is the variation you can introduce" explains Cédric Pugin who did The Line accompanied by his ski buddies on each stage, taking advantage of sunny spells and snowfall between December and March. "There’s wedelning for fun, steeper slopes where you have to concentrate – the west face of Péclet at sunset, for example, is one of my best memories! –, wild valleys like La Clarée and the ski area in Les 3 Vallées, unmanned mountain huts and ski lifts..."

Aerospace : Julbo has created the first goggle that works just as well when climbing as hurtling down the slopes!
With Aerospace, Julbo has created the first goggle that works just as well when climbing as hurtling down the slopes! This goggle came about in response to feedback from riders on the approach routes, before tackling the virgin slopes. To avoid misting during ascents, the SuperFlow System enables the lens to edge forward for greater ventilation, while remaining perfectly protected from the sun’s rays. Add to that the very best Julbo technologies: a spherical screen and Minimalist Frame for XXL vision. Aerospace is available with all the Julbo photochromic technical lenses: Zebra, Zebra light, Cameleon and Snow Tiger. The ideal goggle for all those who want a maximum of ventilation during a great day’s skiing and no misting during breaks or in the cable car. Real comfort!
