The Australian Lucy Bartholomew is young, in fact, very young. But if you run your first 100k trail (Surf Coast Century in Australia) at the age of 16, you very quickly enter the major league. Her father is also a trail runner and she says she got her love for running when providing him with logistical support on races. She was attracted by the atmosphere on long-distance races and thought, "Me too, I want to do that!".
Crowned junior skyrunning world champion in 2014, Lucy got off to a flying start. After bagging every Australian trail and ultra-trail race, she took on the major European races and was more than a little successful.
In 2017, she was second in the 80k Mont Blanc marathon and fifth in the TDS®. Her performance in the TDS® was particularly special as she managed to jump 300 places!
She's also a member of the Australian trail running and skyrunning team.
Her story has only just begun.
