18 medals for our #julboathletes at the 2025 Biathlon World Championships

The 2025 Biathlon World Championships were a true triumph for Julbo athletes, who return home with an impressive total of 18 medals! Exceptional performances all around. Bring on the Olympic Games 😊
Vive la France!

These World Championships got off to a great start with a victory in the mixed relay on Wednesday 12 February. Our 4 #julboathletes – Lou Jeanmonnot, Julia Simon, Éric Perrot and Émilien Jacquelin – took home the gold.
2 world titles had eluded Julia Simon before these championships: the Mass Start and the Individual. On Tuesday 18 February, Julia completed her record with the gold she was missing in the Individual, joined on the podium by Lou Jeanmonnot, who took the bronze.
The next day, Éric Perrot followed in his teammate’s footsteps by securing his first world title in the Individual at only 23 years old and shared the podium with Quentin Fillon Maillet, who earned bronze.
Julia and Quentin also won gold in the single mixed relay – a French specialty.
The final team events rewarded collective strength, with the women’s relay retaining their world title, while the men added a silver medal to their collection.
Sweden, powerful with Elvira in GOLD!
With a total of six medals, Elvira Öberg, Ella Halvarsson and Hanna Öberg confirmed the strength of Swedish biathlon.
Elvira Öberg, already known for her explosiveness on skis, earned three medals, including a world title in the Mass Start. She also added a silver medal in the pursuit and a bronze in the relay (with Ella and her sister Hanna), reinforcing her status among the world’s best.

Sturla, a golden relay, the last Worlds for Tarjei
Sturla Laegreid, thanks to an outstanding relay leg with a 10/10 at the shooting range, contributed to the Norwegian team’s gold medal at these 2025 Worlds.
It was an emotional victory for Tarjei Boe, the second leg skier, who will retire after the final World Cup round of the season in Oslo, thus concluding a brilliant career.
Sturla also added a superb silver medal in the signature event of the Championships, the Mass Start, sharing the podium with teammates Johannes Boe and Endre Stroemsheim for a 100% Norwegian podium.

Czech Republic, a surprise in the mixed relay
This silver medal marks the end of a long four-year wait for the Czech Republic, whose last podium dated back to Markéta Davidová’s Individual victory in 2021. A fantastic podium and beaming smiles from Jessica Jislova, Tereza Vobornikova, Vitezslav Hornig and Michal Krcmar.
Intensity, the favorite model of our biathletes!
Medals in all colors – and just as much for Julbo’s latest Fast and Light eyewear, available in violet and white. It’s clear this model made waves on the trails of Lenzerheide.
As explained by biathlete Sturla Laegreid, double medallist at these Worlds, who wore the Intensity White Spectron 3 HD glasses:
"On snow, every detail counts, and my Intensity glasses make all the difference. Their optimal protection against wind and sun glare allows me to stay focused on my race, whatever the conditions. Lightweight and perfectly fitted, they stay in place even during the most intense efforts. The quality of the Spectron 3 HD lenses provides sharp vision of the terrain – essential for anticipating every move. In competition and in training, they’ve become my favorite model."
The medal count:
7 gold medals
6 silver medals
5 bronze medals
