JULBO X L'ÉTAPE DU TOUR DE FRANCE

The world’s largest cyclosportive is coming soon, and once again this year Julbo will be present as a partner for the most challenging edition yet of L'Étape du Tour de France. 

The toughest L'Étape du Tour de France yet. 

On July 19, 2026, 16,000 cyclists will take on the 20th stage of the 2026 Tour de France, tackling 170 km and an elevation gain of 5,400 m between Bourg-d'Oisans and Alpe d'Huez.

On the agenda: iconic mountain passes such as la Croix de Fer, le Télégraphe, the Galibier (2,642 m), and the fearsome Col de Sarenne, with climbs reaching nearly 14%, ahead of the legendary finish at Alpe d'Huez.
A true test of both body and mind. 

Around forty lined up at the start in Bourg-d'Oisans wearing Julbo colors. Nerves high, legs twitching, and a shared determination to take on the legendary climbs on the way to Alpe d'Huez. 

Each at their own pace, but all sharing the same philosophy, described by Léo Slémett: “as fast as possible, as slow as necessary”.

In pairs or trios, our athletes made their way through the 16,000-strong field. Luca Cavallo finished the stage in 5 hours and 20 minutes, taking a historic victory while sporting his new PANORA sunglasses. 

For everyone else, whatever their ranking, crossing the finish at Alpe d'Huez was a win in itself. Congratulations to all the Julbo team.
