At just 27 years old, Jasmi Joensuu continues to make a lasting impression in the world of cross-country skiing. Born in 1996 in Järvenpää, Finland, she has carved out a prominent place among the elite thanks to her explosive speed and technical agility.

A Promising Journey

After showcasing her talent with the Vantaa Ski Club, Jasmi Joensuu joined the Finnish national team, becoming a key figure in the FIS World Cup sprint events. In 2021, she claimed a bronze medal in the 4x5 km relay at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oberstdorf. More recently, she won gold in the women’s sprint at the 2024 Finnish Championships.

Performances to Watch Closely

Joensuu has already shone multiple times in the World Cup, reaching the finals at stages such as Ruka and Salpausselkä in 2024. Her best individual result so far remains an impressive 4th place at Ruka in 2022.
