A life shaped by the mountains
An exceptional athlete, alpinist, trail runner and ski mountaineer, Kilian Jornet has embodied a demanding and holistic vision of the mountains for more than fifteen years.
An approach in which performance is not measured solely by speed or results, but by commitment, precision of movement and the ability to operate in complex terrain, often at altitude, where mistakes have no place.

Biography
Kilian Jornet grew up in the mountains, in the Catalan Pyrenees, within a high-altitude refuge run by his parents. From an early age, he evolved in alpine terrain, summer and winter alike, learning to ski, run and move through the mountains as a natural extension of everyday life. This early immersion forged a deep, respectful relationship with altitude, effort and extreme environments.
From his earliest years of practice, Kilian developed an instinctive approach to the mountains, based on lightness, precision and autonomy. This vision has accompanied him throughout his career, both in competition and in his personal projects. His mountain practice is global and demanding. Precision and reliability of equipment are vital, inevitably leading to a constant pursuit of innovation to push the limits of performance ever further, optimizing both the human body and equipment.
After spending many years living in Chamonix, Kilian Jornet evolved at the heart of a unique alpine ecosystem, sharing the same playgrounds as other athletes from the Julbo team. Outings, projects and shared adventures naturally forged strong bonds with athletes such as Mathéo Jacquemoud, Vivian Bruchez and Philipp Reiter, among others. Now living in Norway, Kilian Jornet continues a life shaped by the mountains, balancing training, exploration projects and family life. Carefully selecting competitions and the travel they involve, he favors a sustainable approach to performance, consistent with his commitment to preserving natural environments.

These projects express a vision of the mountains as a space for movement, connection and exploration, rather than a simple succession of summits.

Environmental commitment
Growing up in the mountains made Kilian Jornet aware at an early age of the fragility of high-altitude ecosystems.
Today, his commitment goes beyond sport. Through the Kilian Jornet Foundation, he supports scientific research projects, promotes awareness through education, and develops concrete actions in the field to preserve natural environments and encourage a more responsible mountain practice.
