My name is Michela Carrara and I am an athlete in the Italian national biathlon team. I discovered skiing as a child thanks to my family, who instilled in me a passion for sport and the mountains.
I started competing in cross-country skiing before fully dedicating myself to biathlon from 2012 onwards. Since then, this sport has given me great emotions and many rewards: two medals at the Junior World Championships in 2017, four appearances at the Elite World Championships and two Olympic Games, in Beijing 2022 and then Milan-Cortina 2026.
Among the most memorable moments of my career are the Lenzerheide World Championships in 2025, where I achieved a fantastic 5th place in the sprint as well as 8th place in the pursuit. The 2025/2026 season was also full of emotion with two relay podiums, finishing with two superb second places in Östersund, Sweden and Ruhpolding, Germany.
Through biathlon, I experience the daily pursuit of the perfect balance between endurance, precision and mental control, values that define both the athlete and the person I have become.
