Choose photochromic technology: as the brightness changes, the lens adjusts.
ONE LENS NO MATTER THE WEATHER
When you're getting ready to go skiing, you look at the sky: it's overcast, but the weather forecast predicts sunshine. Which goggles do you take? How many lenses do you bring? One, two, three...
What if it wasn't you who had to adapt, but your lens itself? What if you only needed to take one goggle? You would be less encumbered, lighter, more at ease to race down the slopes... And what if, moreover, the optical quality of the lens was among the best on the market, providing you with ideal vision at every moment (fog, sun, snow)... Wouldn't it be time for you to switch to a photochromic lens?
Through constant interaction with professionals and athletes on our team, and living all year round in the mountains, we clearly see what is practical and what is not. In the mountains, weather conditions change rapidly, and one must be able to easily adapt to each situation. Some manufacturers recommend changing lenses based on conditions. This remains tedious. Others advise choosing lenses that enhance contrasts. This is still insufficient. For several years, we have chosen photochromic technology to make life easier for riders, and today, it remains at the heart of our product range.
We offer the widest range of photochromic lenses on the market under the name: REACTIV Technology.
BUT WHAT IS PHOTOCHROMISM?
A changing, evolving, adaptive, variable lens... there are different adjectives to describe the function of "photochromism," but the benefit remains the same: the lens darkens when exposed to UV light and lightens as light intensity decreases. Thus, if the brightness changes, the lens adjusts.
THE MAIN BENEFITS OF PHOTOCHROMISM:
- A single goggle with just one lens to carry, no matter the forecasted weather.
- Constant UV protection.
- Continuous visual comfort despite changes in light intensity.
PHOTOCHROMISM AT JULBO INCLUDES:
- Lenses that react to UV rays and provide 100% protection against them.
- Constant protection in extreme conditions such as bad weather, with categories ranging from 0 to 4.
- A wide selection in color and performance.
- The fastest reactivity to adapt to changes in brightness: between 20 and 30 seconds.
- Exceptional optical quality: NXT® lens.
- A lifetime guarantee on the functionality of the photochromism.
4 TECHNOLOGIES FOR A TAILORED RESPONSE TO EVERY NEED
The percentages on the horizontal axis correspond to the visible light transmission. The higher the percentage, the more light the lens allows to pass through. The lower the percentage, the more the lens filters light.
