A pillar of modern big-mountain skiing
Cody Townsend is a cornerstone of modern big-mountain skiing, with a career spanning more than 20 years across competition, film, and award-winning storytelling. He rose to prominence with multiple podium finishes on world-stage events including the Freeride World Tour and Swatch Skiers Cup, before becoming a defining presence in iconic ski films from Matchstick Productions, TGR, and Warren Miller Entertainment—shaping an entire era of freeride skiing on screen.

From The Fifty to The Fifty+
Cody gained even wider recognition through The Fifty, a landmark project in which he climbed and skied all 50 lines from Fifty Classic Ski Descents of North America. This achievement earned him the coveted Powder Award for Best Line of the Year in 2014. Today, he hosts The Fifty+, a YouTube series capturing his mountain explorations, skiing adventures, and human-powered outdoor pursuits. Known for his technical precision, deep mountain knowledge, and respect for the alpine environment, Townsend embodies the performance, protection, and mountain heritage that have defined Julbo since 1888.
