Lena Häcki-Groß

With Passion Toward the Top of the World!

Lena Häcki-Groß is among the most recognized Swiss biathletes of her generation. Born on July 1, 1995, in Engelberg, she began her international career at the junior level, where she won several medals at the World Championships before stepping up to the World Cup in 2014. Over the years, Häcki-Groß has steadily established herself within the highly competitive international biathlon circuit.

Her real breakthrough came during the 2023/24 season, when she claimed her first World Cup victories and secured several podium finishes. She also achieved an impressive 6th place in the overall World Cup standings, firmly positioning herself among the world’s elite

A Positive Attitude and the Joy of Competition

What sets Lena apart is not only her fighting spirit, but also her positive mindset and genuine love for competition. With relentless endurance and strong determination, she lines up week after week, showcasing her strength both in fast skiing on the tracks and in precise shooting at the range.

Alongside her athletic career, she completed her high school diploma at the Sportgymnasium in Engelberg and also serves as a sports soldier (Zeitsoldatin) in the Swiss Army, where she continues to develop endurance and discipline.

Away from competition, Lena speaks openly about the challenges of an athlete’s life and advocates for greater awareness of physical and mental health. She demonstrates that sporting success and personal integrity go hand in hand.

With her motto, “Never give up!”, she inspires young athletes in Switzerland and beyond to pursue their goals with passion and perseverance.
