Breakthrough at the Highest Level

The 2024/25 season marked a turning point in her career. Amy confirmed her steady development with consistently strong performances and finished 16th overall in the World Cup standings – her best result to date. She particularly showcased her strengths in the individual event, where she ranked among the top ten athletes in the world.

The highlight came in January 2025 in Ruhpolding, when she celebrated her first World Cup podium with a flawless shooting performance, making biathlon history for Switzerland. In the races that followed, she continued to demonstrate consistency and resilience, firmly establishing herself among the extended world elite.

Consistency, Character and Looking Ahead

Her potential had already become evident at a young age. As a junior, Amy won multiple medals at World Championships and was crowned Junior World Champion twice. Her transition to the World Cup, despite setbacks – including an injury-affected period – was marked by remarkable composure and perseverance. These experiences shaped her and further strengthened her mental toughness.

Today, Amy Baserga impresses with consistency on the shooting range, fighting spirit on the course, and the ability to execute her race plan even under pressure. As a key member of the Swiss national team, she looks ahead with ambition and a clear goal: to establish herself permanently among the world’s best at World Championships and Olympic Games.
