An engineer who became a trail running figurehead

Originally from the Basque Country, Malen Osa grew up surrounded by mountains and outdoor pursuits. Although sport was always part of her everyday life, it was in 2021 that she truly discovered trail running and immediately found her calling.

An engineer by training and an athlete with the Salomon international team, she was drawn to the unique balance trail running provides: the intensity of competition combined with the freedom of exploring the heart of nature. In just a few seasons, she has established herself among the best runners of her generation on the international scene.

Her performances in the world’s most prestigious races have earned her multiple podiums and a lasting place among trail running’s elite.

For Malen, running is above all a source of freedom. It is a way to fully express the values that define her: hard work, respect, and a deep bond with those close to her.
