Presentation & Biography

A Swiss rider with a Colombian heart, Simon Pellaud is a 33-year-old WorldTour nomad who has turned the world into his training ground. A professional cyclist since 2015, he has always chased freedom rather than just following the pack.

Known as one of the most combative riders in the peloton, Simon has built a career on grit and panache. From the roads of the Giro d'Italia—where he famously won the Fuga Bianchi classification for the most kilometers spent in the breakaway—to the high-altitude gravel of the Andes, he thrives in the toughest conditions.

After racing in the WorldTour and completing four Grand Tours, Simon transitioned to the off-road scene, riding for Tudor Pro Cycling's gravel division last season. In 2026, he turns a new page by launching his own independent "Privateer" structure. Now fully in control of his calendar and setup, he is one of the few riders to have competed in 45 different countries, bridging the gap between elite performance and ultra-endurance adventure.

Fluent in five languages and based between the Swiss Alps and the Colombian mountains, Simon embodies the modern, borderless athlete.

Season Goals

After a breakthrough gravel season last year with multiple podiums in the world's biggest races, his goal is clear: to claim the big win he missed in 2025. Now racing as a Privateer, his focus is set on the Life Time Grand Prix series in the USA, with a specific eye on the Unbound Gravel 200 and the Leadville 100.
