In just four seasons, the French Decathlon Ford team has established itself among the best structures in the world.
The story has moved fast for the Decathlon Ford Racing Team. Founded in 2022, the team—now made up of five international riders—has truly exploded onto the scene this year, starting with a victory at the first round of the World Cup in Araxá, Brazil, thanks to Samara Maxwell. The New Zealand athlete, currently ranked World No. 1, has been one of the major revelations of the mountain biking season.
In mid-July, she did it again, delivering a masterclass performance at the Andorra round. As the World Cup leader, “Sammie” Maxwell also claimed the silver medal at the World Championships in Crans-Montana.
But behind the sparkling Kiwi, the results have also been impressive for the rest of the team, including multiple U.S. Champion Savilia Blunk, Italian Champion Greta Seiwald (XCC national title), Joshua Dubau (6th overall in the 2023 World Cup), and German rider David List.
After four seasons, with more than 60 international victories and nearly 30 World Cup podiums, the Decathlon Ford story is only just beginning.
