Recycled carbon and Grip Tech hold
The temples are handcrafted in Quimper from the carbon of MerConcept ocean racing yachts: production offcuts and damaged parts. They keep the lightness and strength of the original carbon. Grip Tech inserts on the nose and temples keep the KEEN KARBON in place, even when you're on the move.
Sharp vision, no glare
Sun beating down on water, sand or tarmac: the 80% polarized SPECTRON HD 3 lenses cut glare and enhance colours and contrast. Made in France from bio-circular polycarbonate, they also reduce eye strain throughout the day.
Designed and made in France and Europe
The entire production chain of the KEEN KARBON is based in France and Europe: design and testing at MerConcept in Concarneau, design and lens fitting in Longchaumois (Jura), carbon recycling in Quimper, lenses made in Saint-Claude, moulds in Oyonnax, recycled-textile case made in Bourg-en-Bresse by a social reintegration workshop, Jura wood box. Frame injection and temple assembly take place in Deva, Romania.

KEEN KARBON comes in a Jura wood box, with its recycled-textile case made in France and a bracelet cut from a MerConcept carbon offcut, bearing the Julbo x MerConcept logo. A box to keep or to give, like sunglasses born on the water.

Born from the collaboration between Julbo and MerConcept, KEEN KARBON sunglasses combine technical performance and style for city life and days at sea. Their temples are handcrafted in Brittany from carbon recovered from MerConcept offshore racing sailboats, using offcuts or damaged components. Lightweight and durable, they give the design a distinctive identity. Made in the Jura region of France, the bio-circular polycarbonate lenses combine SPECTRON HD technology with 80% polarization to enhance color and contrast perception and reduce reflected glare. Grip Tech on the temples provides a comfortable, secure fit for everyday wear. Designed and produced primarily in France, with manufacturing shared between France and Romania, KEEN KARBON sunglasses feature exclusive Julbo x MerConcept branding. They come with a sturdy case hand-sewn in France and a bracelet featuring a carbon piece bearing the Julbo x MerConcept signature. The set is presented in a wooden box from the Jura region.
